Marla Brattain Hanesn             Associate Professor (MFA, University of Utah). Marla heads the dance emphasis and serves as co-Artistic Director of Idaho Dance Theatre, the professional company in-residence at Boise State. She also coordinates the annual Summer DanceFest Workshop for the Theatre Arts Department, attracting numerous students and teachers from across the country.  Marla teaches numerous levels of Ballet and choreographs the department's student dance concerts and main stage productions.  In 2001-02 she was nominated for the University Foundation Scholar award for creative activity.  She received the College of Arts and Sciences award for Outstanding Faculty Member, Distinguished Service in 1999.  She also serves as a judge for Spotlight Dance Cup, a national dance competition and is a member of the international organization CORPS de Ballet for ballet teachers in higher education. mhansen@boisestate.edu view Marla's curriculum vitae
