Assistant Professor, Theatre Arts/Lighting Design,

Boise State University, Boise, Idaho

Undergraduate, liberal arts program seeks applicants for a full-time tenure track position starting August 2008.

 

Responsibilities: design lighting and either scenery or costumes for department productions; teach Lighting Design, Introduction to Theater and other courses depending on experience and interest; supervise student designers; advise theatre majors; and serve on department and university committees. In addition to these duties, candidates are expected to maintain an active record of professional creative activity.

 

Requirements: MFA or equivalent professional experience is required. Candidate must be able to demonstrate expertise in lighting design, in at least one other area of design and be proficient in AutoCAD/Vectorworks. University teaching experience is preferred.

The BSU theatre program currently offers a BA degree with emphases in Dance, Design, Directing, Dramatic Writing, Performance, and Stage Management.
