Translations by Brian Friel
Based in 19th century Ireland, Translations is the story of a
young British officer on assignment Anglicizing the Gaelic
names of Irish places and landmarks. While there, his heart
awakens to a culture, a history, and a people far richer, and
more determined to maintain their own identity, than he ever
anticipated.
Featuring local actor Danny Peterson.
Directed by department chair Richard Klautsch.
Helen Lojek serves as the literary advisor.
