The department of theatre arts premieres an original work developed in collaboration with faculty and students. Dante is a musical
comedy that takes its hero of the same name through his own personal hell,
revisiting the moments in his life where he lost his way which have led up
to his ultimate failure as a human being. His encounters range from
hilarious to heartbreaking as he must justify his existence while fending
off his own personal demons and being careful not to incur the wrath of his
long-dead high school gym teacher, Mr. Virgil, who guides him through his
many levels of shame and guilt.
