Shakespeare's most poetic
comedy, set in the mythical land of Illyria. Separated from her twin brother, Viola
(disguised as a boy to protect her virtue at court) is charged by Duke Orsino to woo the
fair Olivia on his behalf. With wit and romance, high comedy and low tricks, deception and
misleading identities, Shakespeare's most endearing characters weave a colorful and
spirited tale of love. |

April 18- 21 at 7:30 p.m.
April 22 matinee at 2:00 p.m.
Stage II
Now the distinguished
President of the Czech Republic, Havel established his reputation as a playwright with
this dark and lacerating satire. Within the walls of a large, faceless institution,
certain factions try to establish a new "language" for greater precision and
efficiency. As the "language" proves more and more incomprehensible, it seems to
meet with less and less resistance. With overtones of Orwell's 1984, Havel
investigates the illogical, indifferent, and impersonal world of bureaucracy. |
